Club ranking: how it’s calculated

Clubs have three rankings, each built from the rankings of the club's skaters.

Kiss & Cry Ranking

Basis. The skaters' Kiss & Cry points from the last twelve months, as described in the individual rankings section.

Club methodology:

  • Take the club's ten skaters with the most Kiss & Cry points — current members of the club, each with more than zero points.
  • Add up their points. A club with fewer than ten such skaters adds up all of them.
  • Sort clubs in descending order of that sum (higher = better).
  • A club has a place worldwide and a place within its nation.
  • The ranking is recalculated every Monday.

PZŁF Ranking

Basis. Athlete positions in the federation’s official rankings.

Club methodology:

  • For each club member with a position in the official ranking, take their best place among the tables in which they appear. A pair counts once.
  • Take the ten best of those places — or all of them, if there are fewer than ten.
  • Compute their average.
  • Sort clubs in ascending order of the average place (lower = better).
  • A club with fewer than 3 athletes in the official ranking is not ranked.

This club ranking is calculated by the application using official PZŁF competitor ratings. It is an unofficial ranking and is not published or endorsed by PZŁF.

Medal Ranking

Basis. All medals won for the club in the current season. A medal belongs to the club the skater represented at that competition, even if they have changed clubs since.

Club methodology:

  • Count the medals won for the club.
  • Sort by the number of gold, then silver, then bronze (descending).
  • Then by medals won in a category's additional groups, then by the club's place in the Kiss & Cry ranking.
  • Clubs still level after all of this share a place.

Sources and data accuracy

Competition protocols and the federation’s official publications are used as primary sources.
